Prayer:

Scripture:

Psalm 92:1-5
1 It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning,
And Your faithfulness every night,
On an instrument of ten strings,
On the lute,
And on the harp,
With harmonious sound.
For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work;
I will triumph in the works of Your hands.
O Lord, how great are Your works!
Your thoughts are very deep.

Thanksgiving:
Father I take this moment in my day to choose gratitude and thankfulness. I praise You for Your great and mighty power, Your awesome creation, Your kind and loving gentleness, Your intimacy with us, Your beauty, Your desire for our good. I praise You for all the beauty that is this life: the beauty of attached, healthy relationships, the gifts and talents of each person You have created, rich and abiding home life, the beauty of the sunrise outside my window, the immense and incredible oceans, the expanse of Your sky that only hints at the marvelous creation of atmosphere You devised with Your singular mind, galaxies, planets, Your amazing expanding universe. What an incredible and creative and glorious beauty You have brought forth from Your beautiful mind and heart. You are amazing, God! You truly are indescribable. How marvelous are Your works!

Confession:
I open my heart to You today to remain whole and clean before You. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me (Psalm 51:10). (Take time to daily open your heart. Mine today: I have sometimes been too quick to believe others are acting wrongly toward me and become offended. I had that happen yesterday, and while I was able to bring it to You and see it from the other’s perspective later, I want You to take that to me and give me understanding that keeps me from having the hours of hurt that come from this problem in me.)

Supplication:
I lift my needs to You and thank You that You are working in my heart and life. (Journal personal needs and concerns. Mine today: I thank You that I am feeling better with my migraines today, but the cold I have been fighting since before Thanksgiving has made its way from my sinuses and ears into my chest this morning.  I need Your healing, Lord. I do think I have to see the doctor today, so I ask for favor and an open spot and expedience.)

Intercession:
I lift my children to You today. I give them to You and ask You to divinely intervene in their hearts and lives. I pray that our home will be a continually safe place for their hearts to learn of You and ultimately be devoted to and in love with You. I pray that each of my children will have a rich, abiding relationship with You. I pray that their individual relationships with each parent would be healthy, whole and attached. I pray that healing will take place in rifts, and that if one or both parents need healing or repentance that You will be continually working on hearts so that this can take place. I pray for friendships to be healthy and safe. I pray that each child represented here will be preserved whole, pure, and innocent for marriage. I pray that any children that have been exposed too early to sexual impurity will be mightily healed and restored to innocence. I pray the same for each parent and adult influence. I pray a strong hedge of protection around our homes. I ask that You will empower each praying parent here to walk in authority as we intercede and war for our children. Let us not become weary as we pray, but be energized and joyful and filled with Your Spirit for warfare. (Take time to list progress, victories, needs and concerns. Chloe today: Another great night of sleep! We had a hiccup yesterday morning, but this morning she is back on track. Praise God! She has been having a growth spurt and it is challenging to walk through the many moods of this with her. Calm her emotions and give her peace. Help my husband and I to be merciful and kind toward her. Keep her well and healthy and whole. For Christian today: Thank You that he is such a great sleeper. I thank You for the very real and amazing progress we are seeing. We pray that his speech will be miraculously healed. We pray that You will restore the neural pathways in his brain that are compromised. We ask that he will choose to use the toilet each and every day. We ask that he will recover his delays in development and be able to catch up in school. We pray that he will be accepted in his class and be able to be part of the mainstream class more all the time. We pray that he will fight for his own education. We pray that he will have a rich and full and amazing life. We pray for a wonderful marriage and family and career for him. Forgive me for giving up on this dream. I release it to You but ask that You will help me to audaciously pray for these miracles for him. In Jesus’ Name I pray, amen.)

Thanksgiving and Consecration:
I thank You for this amazing time in Your amazing Presence, my wonderful Father. Oh, Lord, I praise You and bless You. You are good and I receive from You Your goodness and love. Cover this time of deep intercession and protect and bless our home. In Jesus’ Name I pray, amen.

Blessing and Benediction:
1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 - Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.

Bless you as you go forth today! Peace to you!
