Friday, December 22, 2017 -- Prayer Only

Friday, December 22, 2017

Good morning, friends! Three days until Christmas! It is wonderful to gather together with you today to bring our children to the Lord. When we started more than a year ago, some of us were in despair that we would ever see changes for our children, but through prayer and with time, we have seen the needle moving. However, perhaps you are one today who is in despair. Welcome, sweet brother or sister in Christ! We will go with you into the Throneroom of Grace today, and it is my prayer that one year from now, God will show you His great love for you and the desire He has to transform your child by His love and by His power. We all need parenting techniques, strategies, and advice. I firmly believe, however, that prayer should come first, and that true change and transformation happen only at the heart level. God bless us all today as we pray!

Prayer:

Thanksgiving:
Great and loving Father, I thank You today for Your love, Your mercy, Your compassion toward us, and Your great Plan to save us all. Bless our home today as I bow before You. You are the Great God Who can do anything. Nothing is impossible for You! Nothing is too difficult for our Creator God! Create the Kingdom You imagined and conceived within our home today. Thy Kingdom come, Lord, in my home. Thy Will be done, Lord, in my home. Today.

Confession:
Lord, I bless You and thank You that You are my God. I thank You that You take every piece of my heart at face value and You love me just as I am.

Just as I am, without one plea
But that Thy blood was shed for me
And that Thou bids’t me come to Thee
O Lamb of God I come, I come

(Take time to confess your heart daily before the Lord. Please, trust that the Lord will cleanse you daily. This is not an act of self-flagellation or wallowing as a “worm” in the dust before the Lord, but an act of transparency, vulnerability and intimacy.)

Supplication:
I lift my needs to You today and thank You that You desire to make me whole in every area. I thank You that You care about the great and pressing needs, and You care about the seemingly small concerns of the everyday. I bring each need to You in faith believing that You hear me and You desire to answer me. Help me to be patient as I align my heart with Your true Will for me. (Take time to journal and lift needs, concerns and requests. Make note of progress, victories, answers to prayer, and changes of heart.)

Intercession:
I lift my children to You today, Lord, and I ask that You intervene in their lives. (Journal needs, requests, progress, victories and answers to prayer. Making note will encourage you throughout the year!)

Thanksgiving and Consecration:
I bless You and honor You and thank You for Your great love for us today! Seal our time and bless our festivities together. In Jesus’ Name I pray, amen!

Blessing and Benediction:

Be people of hope.
Let hope live in your heart and share the hope of Christ with all you meet.
Share hope by noticing someone else’s humanity.
Share hope by listening to someone’s story.
Share hope by praying for our world.
In this Advent season, we need to see, feel, and share hope.
As you go out into the wonder of God’s creations, share hope with those you meet. Amen.
